History
Jabo was founded in 1961 in Tranemo by Sonny Bertilsson, Leon
Andersson and Waldemar Josefsson. Sonny Bertilsson still runs the
company today. Initially wood wool was manufactured, but when the
factory burned down in 1969 Sonny started a company that
specialized in garden products and panels. 1981 cottages and sheds
were included in the range of products, which was produced by
Stevert in Ambjörnarp. July 1, 2006 Jabo and Stevert started to
work together and today we are a single company with a wide range
of wood products for indoor and outdoor environment. Our production
includes a variety of holiday homes and garages. The head office
and production is located in Ambjörnarp and 2008 we built a new
logistics center in Tranemo.
Today, we have 85 employees and the turnover for 2008 was 257
millions SEK.
Our products and market
Jabo develops and markets wood products for indoor and outdoor environment to a do-it-yourself market. Jabo is a leading consumer brand for houses, homes and gardens in Sweden. The company's market is primary building retailers, focusing on DIY customers. The company's products are represented on most of the major building retailers.
